EASY ORIGAMI CRAB TUTORIAL
✂️ MATERIALS
- 1 square sheet of colored paper or construction paper
- Black marker
- Glue (optional for decorations)
- Scissors (only if adding decorations)
📝 STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
1️⃣ Cut Your Paper
Use lightweight cardstock or origami paper to make the folds easier. For this tutorial, I used a 16 × 16 cm (6.3 × 6.3 in) square sheet.2️⃣ Fold the Paper
Carefully follow each fold step by step. Make sure to press every crease firmly, as crisp folds will help your crab take shape much more easily.

3️⃣ Shape the Body and Legs
Push the sides inward to form the crab's body. Then fold each side upward and across to create the legs.

4️⃣ Decorate Your Crab
Now it's time to get creative! Decorate your paper crab any way you like. For this version, I gave mine a fun look inspired by Mr. Krabs from SpongeBob SquarePants.

💡PARTY TIPS
- For this tutorial, I used a 16 × 16 cm (6.3 × 6.3 in) square sheet to make a medium-sized crab. Feel free to use larger or smaller squares to create different sizes.
- If you're making tiny crabs, I recommend using regular paper or origami paper instead of cardstock. It's much easier to fold when working on a smaller scale.
- Always press each crease firmly before moving on to the next step. Sharp folds make it much easier to shape the body and legs.
